SodexoMagic is seeking a General Manager 5 to oversee food and beverage operations for Morgan State University, Maryland's largest Historically Black College and University (HBCU), based in Baltimore. This critical leadership role involves full operational and financial accountability for residential dining, catering, and retail units on campus. The General Manager will collaborate daily with on-site clients to ensure that Sodexo's standards and client goals are always met or exceeded. This position requires strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight of multiple locations to deliver high-quality service experiences aligned with client expectations. Key responsibilities include managing financial outcomes, training and developing employees at all levels, ensuring safety and compliance, managing purchasing processes, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The role demands strong leadership skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

The General Manager will be instrumental in cultivating exceptional client relationships and tailoring product offerings to meet diverse client needs. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Five years of management experience
  • Five years of functional experience in food service management
  • Strong financial skills including P&L experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and hospitality abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional communication skills
  • Knowledge of compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
