Job Requirements
- Five years of public transportation experience with at least three years supervisory
- completion of a Transit Management Certificate or equivalent desired
- college degree or equivalent business management experience
- proven management experience
- labor and union negotiations expertise
- comprehensive knowledge of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment and safety compliance
- proficiency in MS Office applications
- strong analytical and communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks
Job Qualifications
- Five years public transit experience
- transit management certificate desired
- college degree or equivalent business management experience
- management experience required
- labor union negotiations experience
- full understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment and safety DOT and FTA compliance
- proficiency in MS Office
- strong analytical skills
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to multi-task effectively
Job Duties
- Effectively manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs
- identify, select, train and mentor location staff
- frequently communicate with location staff and support team members
- oversee vehicle maintenance plan and ensure fleet availability to meet service requirements
- oversee safety and training programs to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements
- maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations
- conduct periodic departmental audits
- review key operational metrics daily, weekly and monthly
- manage location financial metrics continuously and develop action plans to ensure financial, safety and operational goals are met
- implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures
- interact with bridges committee to effectuate positive changes to policies, procedures and programs
- participate in labor and employee relations activities
- provide support for location contract renewals
- create and present location annual budget
