SLI Enterprises operates many McDonald's restaurants across the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex, including locations in Irving, Dallas, Mesquite, Caddo Mills, Greenville, Commerce, Italy, Waxahachie, Fairfield, Mexia, Corsicana, Ennis, and Terrell. These restaurants are independently owned and operated by the franchisee, separate from McDonald's USA. As an independent franchisee, SLI Enterprises holds a license to use McDonald's logos and food products but manages all employment matters at each restaurant, including hiring, firing, scheduling, and training. This ensures a unique local management style while maintaining the high standards and brand integrity associated with McDonald's. This job posting is for a General Manager position at one of SLI Enterprises' McDonald's restaurant locations. The role is vital to ensuring that the restaurant operates profitably and meets McDonald's critical customer service standards centered on quality, service, and cleanliness. The General Manager will work closely with their leadership team to establish restaurant goals and create actionable plans to achieve and exceed those goals. This position requires someone motivated and skilled in leading teams, as the General Manager will be responsible for supervising a group of Department Managers who have specific duties within the restaurant. The General Manager will assist these Department Managers in setting their own objectives, monitor progress closely, and offer continuous coaching and direction to enhance departmental performance.
In addition to operational leadership, the General Manager may also be tasked with hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure a capable and balanced management team for the restaurant’s ongoing success. Ideal candidates will typically have previous experience running high-volume general manager roles, particularly in quick service restaurant environments or related fields such as hospitality or retail. Candidates need to be at least 18 years old to qualify for a managerial position in these restaurants.
