The General Manager role at Burtons Grill is pivotal to sustaining the high standards and operational excellence that our brand is celebrated for along the East Coast. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven hospitality professional to lead a dynamic, high-volume restaurant. The General Manager is entrusted with full ownership of day-to-day restaurant operations, encompassing both front-of-house and back-of-house functions. This leadership role demands a passionate and strategic thinker capable of fostering a passionate team culture centered on growth, creativity, and inclusion. As the restaurant’s ambassador, the General Manager ensures that every guest receives an unforgettable dining experience, championing a guest-first mindset throughout all areas of operation.

Key responsibilities include overseeing efficient service delivery, maintaining impeccable standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety, and supporting and coaching team members to elevate performance and engagement. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, inspires their team, and ensures that every service runs seamlessly. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of general manager experience in an upscale, polished casual or fine dining restaurant with annual sales of 5M+
  • Strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of front-of-house and back-of-house day-to-day restaurant operations
  • Strong knowledge of back-of-house operations including inventory, food safety, and kitchen leadership
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
  • Passion for hospitality, quality, and delivering an exceptional front-of-house guest experience
  • Availability to work 10-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Allergy Certification

Job Qualifications
