Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years hotel management experience
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong budgeting and revenue management capabilities
  • Excellent guest relations and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Experience in maintaining compliance with brand standards
  • Commitment to environmental and safety initiatives

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field preferred
  • More than 3 years of hotel management experience
  • Experience with Hilton, IHG, or Marriott brands is a plus
  • Proven ability to motivate, train, and lead a hospitality team
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management skills
  • Passion for enhancing guest experiences and maintaining high service standards
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve challenges efficiently
  • Strong community engagement skills
  • Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare annual capital, cash flow, and sales and marketing plans to forecast budgets and drive revenue
  • Utilize financial data to maximize profitability and return on investment
  • Leverage distribution channels and technology to enhance market share and revenue
  • Oversee capital plans and asset management initiatives
  • Develop team member engagement programs aligned with brand service behaviors
  • Implement and monitor succession planning
  • Set performance goals, provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback
  • Oversee salary decisions, disciplinary actions, and HR-related processes
  • Lead by example and demonstrate Maya Hotels' core values
  • Maintain compliance with brand standards, hallmarks, and license agreements
  • Drive improvement in guest satisfaction scores
  • Engage with guests, solicit feedback, and build strong relationships
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members
  • Act as a public relations representative for the hotel
  • Drive environmentally conscious initiatives
  • Maintain a safe working environment including hazard prevention
  • Lead the hotel’s recycling and sustainability efforts
