Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years hotel management experience
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong budgeting and revenue management capabilities
- Excellent guest relations and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Experience in maintaining compliance with brand standards
- Commitment to environmental and safety initiatives
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field preferred
- More than 3 years of hotel management experience
- Experience with Hilton, IHG, or Marriott brands is a plus
- Proven ability to motivate, train, and lead a hospitality team
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management skills
- Passion for enhancing guest experiences and maintaining high service standards
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve challenges efficiently
- Strong community engagement skills
- Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare annual capital, cash flow, and sales and marketing plans to forecast budgets and drive revenue
- Utilize financial data to maximize profitability and return on investment
- Leverage distribution channels and technology to enhance market share and revenue
- Oversee capital plans and asset management initiatives
- Develop team member engagement programs aligned with brand service behaviors
- Implement and monitor succession planning
- Set performance goals, provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback
- Oversee salary decisions, disciplinary actions, and HR-related processes
- Lead by example and demonstrate Maya Hotels' core values
- Maintain compliance with brand standards, hallmarks, and license agreements
- Drive improvement in guest satisfaction scores
- Engage with guests, solicit feedback, and build strong relationships
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members
- Act as a public relations representative for the hotel
- Drive environmentally conscious initiatives
- Maintain a safe working environment including hazard prevention
- Lead the hotel’s recycling and sustainability efforts
