Our restaurants operate from 6:00am to 2:00pm, catering to the breakfast and lunch crowds with a menu that reflects our core values of authenticity and warmth.

We are currently seeking a General Manager (GM) to lead our restaurant's daily operations. This is a pivotal role within our team, as the GM is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant functions while maintaining the high standards that our guests expect. As a General Manager at Eggs Up Grill, you will oversee the selection, development, and performance management of team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and teamwork. Your leadership will be crucial to handling inventory control, ordering of food and supplies, and optimizing profitability by managing costs related to food, beverage, labor, utilities, and supplies. Additionally, the GM acts as the key liaison for guest satisfaction, resolving complaints, and taking appropriate actions to ensure all guests leave with a memorable dining experience that keeps them coming back.

Your operational responsibilities will include enforcing food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with all company policies and relevant local, state, and federal laws, and maintaining proper security procedures to protect employees, guests, and assets. Safety is paramount, and you will also be tasked with creating and maintaining a safe working environment that minimizes accidents and injuries. The GM will handle shift management duties such as scheduling, daily decision-making, and planning to guarantee that restaurant standards, product quality, and cleanliness are upheld consistently.

From a personnel management perspective, the General Manager will conduct employee interviews, oversee hiring, development, training, and when necessary, termination processes. You will lead team orientations, communicate the Eggs Up Grill DNA, and provide ongoing feedback through performance reviews to develop employee skills and ensure alignment with company values. Maintaining staffing plans and schedules to meet restaurant needs efficiently is essential, as is keeping the ownership informed on any critical issues or positive developments. The ideal candidate will present a favorable image of Eggs Up Grill at all times and contribute positively to the company culture.

Key skills for success in this role include leadership, initiative, self-discipline, and strong communication abilities. The GM must be capable of motivating team members, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, and problem-solving effectively under pressure. Physical stamina and the ability to perform various restaurant-level functions, including occasional delivery duties, are also required. The position demands proficiency with computer applications such as MS Word and Excel, and a solid understanding of food service certifications, sanitation, security protocols, personnel management, and financial reporting.

This full-time role requires flexibility as hours may vary if the manager must fill in for employees or respond to emergencies. To qualify, candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, a minimum of one year of restaurant management experience, eligibility to work in the United States, and pass background and credit checks. Job Requirements

  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs including food beverage supply utility and labor costs
  • ensure all financial and personnel administrative duties are completed accurately on time and according to company policies
  • enforce sanitary practices for food handling cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas
  • ensure compliance with operational standards company policies and local state and federal laws
  • ensure consistency and high quality of food preparation and service
  • maintain professional restaurant image including cleanliness proper uniforms and appearance
  • estimate food and beverage costs and work with upper management for efficient purchasing
  • supervise portion control and preparation quantities to minimize waste
  • oversee kitchen manager’s management of food needs ordering and delivery scheduling
  • ensure positive guest service and promptly respond to complaints
  • ensure proper security procedures to protect employees guests and assets
  • ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce risk of injury and accidents
  • complete accident reports promptly when needed
  • manage shifts including scheduling and planning
  • investigate and resolve complaints about food quality and service
  • provide direction to employees on operational and procedural issues
  • interview hourly employees and oversee hiring development and termination
  • conduct orientation and training of new employees and explain the company DNA
  • develop employees by providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
  • maintain accurate staffing plans and prepare schedules for all shifts
  • keep ownership informed of all issues and take corrective actions
  • maintain favorable working relationships to promote positive work climate
  • present favorable image of Eggs Up Grill on and off the job
  • perform other duties as required
  • be flexible with hours as needed
