The role of Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) Manager at NBB is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day restaurant operations while driving profitability and superior customer service. This full-time role demands a hands-on manager who can efficiently lead both FOH and BOH teams, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration between all departments. The manager will be instrumental in executing strategic priorities, setting departmental goals, and continuously seeking process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include staff scheduling, inventory and budget management, talent development through mentoring and training, and maintaining high standards of food quality, service, health, and safety. Additionally, the role entails active participation in marketing, advertising, and community relations to attract and retain patrons, integrating sales and branding campaigns into the restaurant's look and feel.
Successful candidates must possess a strong knowledge of NBB’s brands, culture, and the beer industry, coupled with an understanding of legal requirements related to alcohol service. This manager will also be responsible for handling equipment maintenance, vendor relationships, and acting as a key liaison to ensure ongoing business performance. The role requires exceptional customer service skills, advanced communication abilities, strong financial acumen including working knowledge of financial statements, and a commitment to fostering a positive team environment. Physical demands include the ability to work extended periods standing and walking within the restaurant and office settings, including nights and weekends. The position involves 0-10 percent travel and offers an opportunity to significantly impact NBB’s guest experience and operational success.

Job Qualifications
- Three years of team management and customer service experience
- Exceptional customer service skills and abilities
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all managers, employees, guests, and purveyors at all business volume levels
- High level interpersonal and mediation skills
- Ability to deal with difficult situations and resolve matters appropriately and effectively
- Thorough knowledge of all NBB brands, history, process, culture, and the beer industry
- In depth knowledge of marketing and branding practices and procedures at NBB
- In depth knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of financial statements
- Advanced verbal and written communication and public speaking skills
- Thorough understanding of legal requirements for serving alcohol
- Knowledgeable in brewing processes and NBB beers
Job Duties
- Oversee and direct day to day operations onsite averaging 40-45 hours per week
- Facilitate strategic priorities, departmental goals, initiatives, and performance work objectives management while seeking process improvements for both FOH and BOH
- Ensure efficient and profitable business performance of the restaurant and optimal utilization of staff and resources
- Oversee staff scheduling and temp labor use for FOH and BOH
- Oversee and report on budgeting and department finances, managing profitability and allocating resources
- Oversee inventory management for FOH and BOH
- Manage staff hiring and performance, provide training and mentoring, and facilitate professional development
- Develop and implement marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs, evaluate program results, and monitor changing demands
- Integrate sales and branding campaigns into the restaurant aesthetic and experience
- Maintain high standards of food, service, health, and safety, upholding legal requirements
- Manage upkeep and care of equipment, arranging for repairs, contracts, and services
- Act as an active member of FOH and BOH teams as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
