Job Description
LSG Sky Chefs is a leading global airline catering and hospitality services provider, widely recognized for excellence in operational delivery and innovation across North and Latin America. With a legacy of serving millions of passengers annually, LSG Sky Chefs has secured its position as the Airline Caterer of the Year in North America for three consecutive years (2023, 2024, and 2025). This recognition underscores its commitment to quality, safety, and unmatched customer service in a highly regulated and competitive industry. The company’s dedication to operational excellence is complemented by a strong emphasis on fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace culture where employees are valued as the cornerstone of the business's success.
LSG Sky Chefs is currently searching for a seasoned General Manager to lead its large and complex Customer Service Center (CSC) in Los Angeles, USA. This is a full-time, on-site role offering a competitive salary range between $141,700 and $191,000 per year. The General Manager will be entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of the CSC, operating in a fast-paced, highly regulated food manufacturing environment. The position demands a high-impact leader with exceptional skills in operational management, financial stewardship, people leadership, safety enforcement, and quality assurance.
The General Manager will play an integral role in setting the strategic direction of the Center, overseeing its operational performance, ensuring regulatory compliance with agencies such as the FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and HACCP, and sustaining outstanding customer satisfaction. The role requires the ability to develop and execute business plans and budgets in line with the regional strategy, manage production planning to guarantee timely and high-quality food product and service delivery, and drive continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing principles. The manager will also be responsible for optimal resource allocation including personnel, equipment, materials, and capital assets.
This leadership position involves working collaboratively with multiple departments including Sales, Culinary, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and external stakeholders to ensure all customer contracts and company standards are met or surpassed. Leading a diverse workforce, including unionized employees, calls for strong leadership capabilities, experience in labor relations, and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and engagement. Effective communication and decision-making skills are essential to navigate the complexities and pressures of the operational environment.
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with more than 10 years of progressive operations or manufacturing leadership experience, preferably within the food manufacturing or similarly regulated industries. They will bring proven expertise in managing large, multi-departmental operations, strong financial acumen, and a dedication to driving performance improvements while consistently exceeding corporate expectations. LSG Sky Chefs offers various benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage from day one, employer-paid life insurance and AD&D benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for career growth within a global organization.
Joining LSG Sky Chefs means becoming part of a company that values innovation, operational excellence, and the wellbeing of its employees. The General Manager role is a unique opportunity to lead a critical service center in a company recognized worldwide for its standards and achievements. The role promises a challenging yet rewarding career path with significant impact on the company’s success and reputation.
