The General Manager role at Smoothie King is a full-time, on-site position that plays a critical part in the success and growth of each store. This leadership role is responsible for creating and leading a highly effective and motivated team that consistently delivers an extraordinary guest experience. The General Manager operates with a strong focus on strategic, operational, and leadership excellence, actively utilizing tools like Profit and Loss Statements, Daily Business Reviews, Cash and Deposit Logs, and Data Central for scheduling and inventory management to maintain operational standards.

In addition to managing store operations, this role requires maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth inventory flow and timely shipments. The General Manager monitors the store environment and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying opportunities for improvement and adapting strategies accordingly. Cash management responsibilities, including handling daily deposits, are also vital to the position. Food safety compliance and upholding brand standards related to store presentation and cleanliness are expected at all times, safeguarding Smoothie King’s reputation and customer trust.

Leadership excellence is further emphasized through the development of local store marketing plans and community outreach initiatives that support brand initiatives and enhance local engagement. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • minimum 2 years’ management or supervisory experience in restaurant or retail customer service
  • basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to manage cash handling and operational responsibilities
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • commitment to uphold food safety and brand standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality management, or similar field preferred
  • minimum 2 years’ experience as a manager or supervisor in a restaurant or similar retail customer service business
  • basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Enthusiastically hire, develop, and lead the store team to provide an exceptional guest experience and fulfill the company mission
  • use operational tools such as Profit and Loss Statement, Daily Business Review, Cash and Deposit Log, and Data Central scheduling and inventory management tools to achieve operational excellence
  • maintain relationships with suppliers including inventory management and shipments
  • review store environment and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and adjust accordingly
  • manage daily cash activities including deposits
  • ensure compliance with food safety guidelines and team member adherence
  • own and promote brand standards in alignment with company vision

  • drive implementation of company programs through action planning and team inspiration
  • develop local store marketing plans including community outreach
