Job Description
Our company is a prestigious leader in the general aviation sector, operating Fixed Base Operator (FBO) services across multiple locations. We pride ourselves on offering a comprehensive spectrum of general aviation services that cater to private aviation clients. Our services include exclusive access to private terminals, aircraft parking, storage hangars, and concierge-level support. Each of our locations serves as a customer-centric private aviation expert, deeply integrated and respected within the communities they serve. We are committed to providing a seamless, high-quality experience that exceeds the expectations of private aviation passengers, crew members, and aircraft owners. We collaborate with partners and tenant managers to ensure full operational functionality and elevate the service standards in every facility we manage.
We are currently seeking a General Manager for our FBO locations. This is a full-time leadership position with full profit and loss responsibility for the location, covering sales, service, and all operational aspects. Reporting directly to the Regional Director and Executive Leadership, the General Manager will be a highly motivated aviation enthusiast who embodies leadership, teamwork, customer service, and community engagement. The ideal candidate is passionate about aviation safety, self-motivated, and driven by a winning mentality.
The General Manager will oversee key areas such as talent acquisition and development, facility maintenance and repairs, operational safety, community and airport relations, and local accounting. Additionally, they will manage sales and marketing strategies, tenant contracts and leases, pricing structures, and partnerships with affiliates. They will ensure the provision of competitive facilities, fuel services including contract fuel, and ancillary services optimized for tenant satisfaction and transient customers. Maintaining strong community involvement through local organizations such as chambers of commerce and aviation clubs will also be vital.
The role demands the development and execution of annual budgets, regular financial reporting, and strict adherence to aviation regulations and safety standards. Candidates will bring proven experience in leading teams, managing complex and multifaceted operations, and maintaining excellent relationships with Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) and Fortune 500 clients. The General Manager will be well-versed in budgeting, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, legal matters, and contract reviews, and will be responsible for human resources functions related to team welfare and benefits.
Success in this role requires a strategic thinker with robust communication skills who continuously pursues professional education and certifications relevant to aviation operations. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) including Parts 121, 135, 141, and 145, as well as International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards for fuel farm management, is expected.
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume reflecting their leadership philosophy, relevant experience, and compensation expectations. A cultural fit assessment will be part of the recruitment process before face-to-face interviews. We are looking to fill this critical role with a highly competent professional who can start as soon as possible.
