Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • minimum five years experience in hotel management with supervisory responsibilities
  • proven experience managing select service properties
  • demonstrated leadership and team development skills
  • solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and revenue optimization
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of Marriott and Hilton brand standards
  • ability to maintain certifications for food, beverage, CPR, and required city and state training
  • willingness to engage with community business and charitable activities

Job Qualifications

  • Commitment to the company and the achievement of its purpose
  • ability to effectively inspire others and engage associates and colleagues on difficult issues
  • creative and strategic skills
  • five years' experience supervising at least 15 associates
  • knowledgeable hotel professional with at least two years experience in managing a select service property with a bar or restaurant
  • Marriott and or Hilton brand knowledge
  • growth mindset, willingness to try new things, and see what works
  • be relentless about improvement

Job Duties

  • Ensure all hotel associates lead from the heart when interacting with customers
  • review ongoing training practices to ensure all associates are kept up to date on current policies and procedures
  • maintain a professional cohesive team by hiring, training, coaching, counseling and developing the most qualified individuals
  • promote positive morale and friendly attitudes
  • monitor communication between departments to ensure a positive flow of information in a timely manner
  • develop and execute aggressive long and short range financial objectives to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals and budgeted expense goals
  • manage the food and beverage outlet to maximize revenue and profitability
