The General Manager role at Springwood Hospitality plays a critical part in the success of their hotel operations. This position works closely with the Director of Sales to strategically maximize revenue and profit across all hotel outlets, including food and beverage areas. Communication and documentation must be thorough and utilize internal tools such as Quore, Drive, email, and Workvivo to ensure smooth operational flow and information sharing across departments. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum five years management experience in a hotel setting
- proven experience supervising a team of 15 or more associates
- strong knowledge of Marriott and Hilton brand standards
- experience managing food and beverage operations
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- ability to work within budget and labor models
- certification in Food, Beverage, CPR and relevant city/state required training
- commitment to company values and growth mindset

Job Duties
- Ensure all hotel associates lead from the heart when interacting with customers
- review ongoing training practices to ensure all associates are kept up to date on current policies and procedures
- maintain a professional cohesive team by hiring, training, coaching, counseling and developing the most qualified individuals
- promote positive morale and friendly attitudes
- monitor communication between departments to ensure a positive flow of information in a timely manner
- develop and execute aggressive long and short range financial objectives to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals and budgeted expense goals
- manage the F&B outlet to maximize revenue and profitability
- review on a daily/weekly basis all cost accounts for each area of the hotel
- work within budgeted guidelines for maximum revenues and within labor models
- ensure that all equipment is maintained in accordance with service standards and that outages are reported and resolved in a timely manner
- complete administrative duties in a timely manner including schedules, payroll, inventories, orders, daily reports, accounting controls
- communicate and document using internal means such as Quore, Drive, email, Workvivo
- be thoroughly familiar with the Associate Handbook and implement all company rules, policies and procedures
- maintain certification for all required trainings including Food, Beverage, CPR, and all city and state required training
- maintain involvement in the community from both business and charitable avenues
