Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficient in Windows and office software
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflict
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow guidelines
  • Ability to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to make quick decisions
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry preferred
  • Meets legal age to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties
  • Willingness to ensure safety compliance and quality assurance
  • Ability to conduct physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • Work collectively to contribute to high guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • Support all groups and events within the hotel
  • Understand and utilize relevant role-specific technology
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using approved greetings
  • Ensure all workspaces, front and back, are kept clean and organized
  • Participate in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests with a smile and by name while performing cleaning tasks
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • Prepare and complete shift handover reports for smooth communication
  • Maintain a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed with a nametag
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude extending beyond the traditional role
  • Foster collaboration to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure friendly service and cleanliness
  • Onboard new team members following established checklists
  • Complete daily summary and night audit processes as per policy
  • Start, complete, and upload shift handover reports timely
  • Oversee adherence to brand standards and quality assurance expectations
  • Require team members to maintain proper uniform standards and hospitality
  • Ensure compliance with fire and life safety inspections and correct deficiencies
  • Confirm preventive maintenance tasks are completed and checked
  • Monitor adherence to established work schedules and manage shift changes
  • Build a culture of learning with safety to make mistakes
  • Ensure all staff have necessary functional expertise through training
  • Communicate growth opportunities and career paths to team
  • Provide daily coaching with positive feedback
  • Review previous day's team member time clock punches
  • Manage purchase orders and ensure proper invoice handling
  • Keep inventory storage clean and follow program guidelines
