The General Manager position at Wendy's plays a crucial leadership role in the success of the restaurant's daily operations and overall performance. This role involves providing vision and direction to a team comprising Crew members, Shift Supervisors, and Restaurant Managers, all focused on exceeding each customer’s expectations. General Managers ensure that all aspects of the restaurant meet or exceed the company's high standards for quality, service, and cleanliness (QSC). By managing operational efficiency and team development, the General Manager directly influences customer satisfaction and business profitability.

Responsibilities include overseeing the restaurant's operations, mentoring and developing team members to advance their skills and foster a productive work environment, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards. The General Manager is accountable for maximizing store sales and profit goals through effective participation in marketing programs and staff motivation. A key part of the role is to inspire and maintain the Wendy's spirit within the restaurant, creating a customer-oriented team culture that upholds the brand's integrity. General Managers must also be proactive in identifying problems and implementing corrective actions while ensuring fast and accurate service.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of restaurant management experience
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Neat, clean and professional appearance
  • Up-beat and engaging personality
  • Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
  • Highly collaborative nature
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency
  • Strong work ethic
  • Excellent math skills including basic computations and ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
  • Ability to travel to other restaurants and meetings as needed
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Frequent bending, kneeling and lifting 25-50 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of restaurant management experience
  • Excellent math skills including basic computations and basic algebra
  • Fluent English-speaking and writing skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to travel to other restaurants and meetings as needed

Job Duties
