Job Description
Twistee Treat is a unique and beloved ice cream franchise known for its playful drive-thru stands and refreshing ice cream treats. Established as a growing company dedicated to delivering joy and exceptional customer experiences, Twistee Treat has built a reputation centered on quality, friendliness, and community engagement. The company prides itself on fostering an environment that encourages teamwork, leadership, and continuous development among its staff. As a part of this commitment, Twistee Treat invests in its leaders by promoting the TRED philosophy, which emphasizes Training, Recognition, Education, and Development as the core principles for managing teams effectively.\n\nJoining Twistee Treat as a General Manager means stepping into a critical leadership role responsible for nurturing a positive work environment, maintaining high operational standards, and driving financial success. The General Manager (GM) embodies the core values of TRED by consistently training and coaching their team, recognizing outstanding performance, providing ongoing educational opportunities, and offering constructive development feedback. Effective GMs at Twistee Treat prioritize a clean, friendly, and efficient store atmosphere, ensuring both guest satisfaction and team morale remain high.\n\nThe role requires a hands-on approach, as GMs are deeply involved in daily operations, including cash handling, inventory management, purchasing, payroll validation, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The position demands a commitment of 45-50 hours per week, with scheduling primarily during peak business hours such as weekends and evenings to maximize customer engagement during the busiest times. Specific scheduling expectations include working at least two weekend evenings per week on a rotating basis and participating in both opening and closing shifts to support the team when needed.\n\nIdeal candidates possess a blend of practical management experience and educational qualifications, preferably holding a college degree or equivalent experience. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, a Food Safety Manager certificate, and eligibility to work in the United States. Physical stamina is essential, as the job entails lifting inventory items weighing up to 15-20 pounds. Computer literacy is also necessary for managing schedules and business reporting through Twistee Treat's point-of-sale systems.\n\nTwistee Treat emphasizes maintaining high standards of cleanliness and friendliness along with solid financial stewardship. GMs play a pivotal role in promoting a workplace culture that values transparency and accountability, such as clocking in and out for every shift and adhering strictly to approved schedules. Any schedule changes require prior approval from the Director of Operations to ensure consistent leadership presence during critical operational periods. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication within diverse teams and customer bases.\n\nThis position presents an excellent opportunity for experienced managers or management trainees who are passionate about leadership and eager to grow with a vibrant and customer-focused company. Through a supportive framework and well-defined operational guidelines, Twistee Treat fosters a culture where general managers can thrive, driving both business success and personal career development.
