Job Description
U.S. Lawns is a well-established network of independently owned and operated franchise businesses specializing in professional lawn care and landscaping services. As a leader in the exterior maintenance industry, U.S. Lawns prides itself on delivering high-quality commercial lawn care solutions to a diverse client base across various regions. The company focuses on fostering strong relationships with its clients and franchise owners to ensure satisfaction, quality, and long-term business growth. Each franchise operates autonomously under the U.S. Lawns brand, which ensures a consistent standard of excellence in all service deliveries, while allowing franchise owners the flexibility to manage their operations according to local market demands and conditions. Being part of the U.S. Lawns system means joining a reputable network with a commitment to professionalism, client service, and employee development.
This role is designed for a candidate eager to take on comprehensive management responsibilities within a U.S. Lawns franchise. This leadership position plays a critical role in overseeing the operational aspects of the business including financial management, client relations, employee supervision, and safety compliance. The role involves managing all budgets related to labor, materials, and administration, ensuring the financial health and profitability of the franchise through active management of accounts receivable and detailed review and interpretation of profit and loss statements. Financial acumen is vital for understanding cash flows and making strategic decisions that affect the franchise's bottom line.
In client management, the candidate will serve as the primary contact person, establishing and maintaining client communication channels, including a Client Contact Log and Client Survey Program, to foster strong client relationships and trust. They will also coordinate the development of maintenance and enhancement budgets in consultation with clients and actively participate in local client events to enhance community engagement and client retention.
Employee management is central to this role, which involves developing recruitment strategies to build a skilled workforce, delivering supervisory training to key personnel, and ensuring open communication between field teams and office management. The individual is responsible for maintaining high crew morale through effective strategies and morale-boosting initiatives.
Safety management is equally critical, with responsibilities including ensuring compliance with all safety programs, supervising or acting as the Branch Safety Officer, and keeping abreast of local, state, and federal safety regulations such as OSHA standards. The role involves managing the Hazard Communication Program and ensuring Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are maintained for shop and vehicle requirements to guarantee a safe working environment.
Candidates interested in this position will be joining a company that values integrity, professionalism, and teamwork. It is important to note that employment offers and decisions are made by the individual franchisee and not by U.S. Lawns, Inc., highlighting the independent nature of each franchise business. U.S. Lawns supports an Equal Opportunity Employer environment, promoting diversity and inclusion within its franchise network. This position represents an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a dynamic leadership role with a well-recognized brand in the landscaping industry, committed to growth, excellence, and client satisfaction.
