The company has established itself as a prominent name in the market, driven by a culture that emphasizes excellence, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, Maya Hotels continues to expand its reach while maintaining a strong focus on quality service and hospitality standards. Their approach focuses not only on maintaining high operational standards but also on fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging work environment for their staff members.
The position of General Manager at Maya Hotels is a strategic and dynamic leadership role designed for a hardworking, customer-focused individual passionate about hospitality and operational excellence. This role involves overseeing all aspects of hotel management and operations to maximize financial performance, enhance guest satisfaction, and cultivate a strong team culture. The General Manager will be responsible for strategic planning and leadership, driving revenue growth, managing budgets, and fostering a cohesive work environment aligned with brand service behaviors and company values. The role requires a visionary leader who can manage financial oversight, team development, guest experience enhancements, and operational excellence, ensuring the property not only maintains competitive positioning in the market but also achieves sustainable success.
Prospective candidates should be prepared to drive engaging team programs, establish succession plans, and cultivate a performance-oriented culture through mentoring and coaching. This includes ensuring compliance with brand standards and license agreements while implementing environmentally conscious initiatives to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint. Candidates will lead efforts to maintain safe and secure environments for guests and staff and encourage sustainable business practices such as recycling and hazard prevention.
Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field along with at least three years of hotel management experience, preferably within Hilton, IHG, or Marriott brands. Strong leadership and financial acumen are essential, coupled with a deep passion for guest relations and the capability to solve problems efficiently under pressure. Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays is also vital to meet the operational requirements of the hospitality industry.
Maya Hotels offers competitive salaries with performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance, retirement savings plans with employer contributions, and employee perks like referral programs and hotel discounts.
