The General Manager at Wingstop plays a critical role in maintaining the restaurant's operational excellence and driving financial success. This leadership position requires a strategic and tactical approach to managing day-to-day activities, ensuring the restaurant delivers outstanding customer experiences while meeting sales and profit goals. The General Manager is responsible for hiring, training, and developing a motivated team that embodies the Wingstop culture and mission to Serve the World Flavor. The General Manager will oversee staffing, scheduling, financial management, operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Employment type is full-time, with expected hours ranging from 50 to 60 per week, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED
  • Some college preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Able to adapt to new systems quickly

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 plus years of food service, retail or restaurant supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in analyzing profit and loss statements and financial performance
  • Demonstrated ability in recruiting and selecting team members
  • Knowledge of labor laws
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative and assertiveness
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage, train, develop and motivate diverse teams
  • Passionate about hospitality and guest service
  • Ability and flexibility to work 50 to 60 hours per week including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to accept feedback and willingness to improve
  • Ability to set goals, create action plans, and implement them
  • Ability to measure performance subjectively and objectively
  • Ability to cultivate attractive restaurant culture

Job Duties

  • Responsible for staffing the restaurant timely and efficiently with carefully selected team
  • Ensure the restaurant environment is safe at all times for both team members and guests
  • Oversee the orientation and onboarding process and ensure proper execution
  • Write and implement or monitor shift leader development and performance plans
  • Make final hire and separation decisions
  • Create team member schedules considering availability, payroll, and overtime costs
  • Own the performance of the entire team
  • Audit all facets of operations and develop improvement solutions
  • Understand budget and cost trends impacting operations
  • Create and execute business plans
  • Control cash, property, product, and equipment
  • Manage sales, labor, and food costs
  • Maintain operational standards and company requirements
  • Identify and report maintenance problems
  • Ensure clear communication across the organization
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members using company tools
  • Leverage support of the Restaurant Support Center
  • Comply with risk management standards
