Job Description

The hiring establishment for this role is a dynamic restaurant that prides itself on exceptional guest service, operational excellence, and strong community engagement. As a thriving food and beverage venue, the restaurant is dedicated to providing a warm and inviting atmosphere where customers can enjoy flavorful cuisine and outstanding hospitality. The restaurant operates with a clear focus on profitability, employee satisfaction, and customer experience, positioning itself as a prominent player in the local dining scene. This is a single-location restaurant, which creates a unique opportunity for hands-on leadership and direct impact on daily operations, sales growth, and team development.

The role of Restaurant General Manager (RGM) is the executive leadership position responsible for overall management of the restaurant’s daily operations with a strategic emphasis on profitability, guest satisfaction, people development, and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the RGM leads a team consisting of an Assistant Manager, hourly Shift Coordinators, and up to 45 Team Members. This leadership role demands a strong balance of financial acumen, team-building skills, and customer service orientation.

The RGM holds primary accountability for the restaurant profit and loss (P&L) statement and is tasked with proactively managing key financial metrics to achieve and exceed desired financial outcomes. This includes continuous review of revenue streams, cost controls, and operational efficiencies. To drive top-line growth, the RGM fosters a culture where proactive guest service and people development are paramount, ensuring that customers receive accurate, friendly, and fast service in a clean and welcoming environment.

In addition to financial management, the RGM plays a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience through direct engagement with team members and customers, addressing guest feedback promptly, and deploying effective local marketing initiatives. This includes problem-solving and analyzing guest feedback systems to identify root causes of issues and implementing corrective action plans that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Furthermore, the RGM is entrusted with recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new team members to build a high-performing and cohesive restaurant team. The role requires implementation of structured training and certification processes, inspiring the team with recognition and coaching programs that elevate individual and collective capabilities. Through targeted feedback and leadership development efforts, the RGM ensures that assistant managers, shift coordinators, and team members are continuously growing and contributing towards high restaurant performance.

In essence, the Restaurant General Manager is the linchpin in driving restaurant success through a comprehensive leadership approach that integrates sales growth, guest engagement, team empowerment, and operational rigor. The employment type for this role is full-time, aimed at candidates seeking leadership opportunities in the hospitality sector. By joining this restaurant team as the RGM, individuals will contribute to a thriving community-focused business where their leadership impacts both customer experiences and business outcomes significantly.
