Located in Miami, Florida, Constellation is seeking a motivated and experienced General Manager to join their Culinary team.

The General Manager role at Constellation centers around leading and managing operations within a Catering Commissary setting, with an emphasis on overseeing a skilled team of food service professionals. This full-time, onsite position requires the individual to be hands-on in planning, organizing, and supervising all activities and systems within the dining service and nutrition departments. The successful candidate will act as a liaison in all administrative capacities, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards. Demonstrated expertise in financial management is crucial, including budget development, cost controls, labor management, and menu development. Additionally, this leadership position involves direct supervision of staff, facilitating ongoing staff development to maintain a highly skilled and motivated workforce.

The General Manager will have accountability for the operational excellence of the catering commissary, ensuring not only efficient delivery and distribution but also the highest standards of food preparation and service. This role is integral to upholding Constellation’s commitment to exceptional customer experiences and operational integrity. Candidates with a minimum of three years in progressive leadership roles within food service management, along with advanced financial and operational skills, will find this role both challenging and rewarding.   • Advanced skills in math and financial management, such as budgeting, labor, and food cost controls

Job Duties

  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing all activities and systems in the dining service and nutrition departments
  • Functioning as the liaison in all administrative roles with in the budget
  • Assuming responsibility for budget development and compliance, sanitation, safety, regulatory compliance, menu development, and preparation and service of food
  • Supervising staff and facilitating staff development
