Aparium Hotel Group is a distinctive hospitality company known for its innovative approach to hotel management and guest experience. Established in 2011, Aparium has quickly gained recognition for its creative blend of boutique hotel charm and business acumen, operating in burgeoning markets with a focus on authenticity, community integration, and personalized service. Aparium believes in the power of People, Place, and Character, crafting hotels that are true reflections of their neighborhoods and the people they serve. This philosophy positions Aparium among the top-tier hospitality brands, complemented by accolades such as being named to the Top 25 Hotel Brands in the world by Travel + Leisure.

Hotel Heron, a proud part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, exemplifies Aparium's distinctive style and cultural philosophy. Located strategically in the historic heart of Old Town Alexandria, Hotel Heron offers a unique vantage point for travelers eager to explore beyond the traditional attractions of Washington, DC. This boutique hotel combines heritage with modernity, featuring 134 chic guest rooms and a variety of premium amenities including KILN, a renowned restaurant serving Mid-Atlantic cuisine, Francis Hall craft cocktail bar, and the seasonal rooftop bar Good Fortune, which offers breathtaking views of the Potomac River. The hotel also boasts state-of-the-art fitness facilities and versatile meeting spaces designed to foster social interaction, creativity, and relaxation. The position demands a leader who is adventurous, gregarious, harmonious, and intelligent, possessing emotional maturity and intellectual agility to manage diverse guest and associate dynamics.

In this capacity, the General Manager embodies the hotel’s ethos by actively participating in daily operations, leading by example, and maintaining rigorous standards. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships within the local neighborhood, acting as a community ambassador by engaging with stakeholders including local merchants, cultural institutions, and civic leaders. The General Manager oversees financial performance, revenue generation, and budgetary compliance while fostering associate engagement and development. They will lead talent acquisition and professional growth initiatives to build an on-brand team capable of delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Further responsibilities include ensuring that the hotel’s Food & Beverage offerings are distinctive and locally inspired, supporting marketing and sales efforts, managing guest feedback to continuously enhance service, and maintaining a keen sense of the hotel’s competitive landscape. The General Manager will balance strategic planning with operational execution, driving results through a comprehensive incentive program that rewards success across people, product, and profit metrics. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives in a boutique hotel environment and values the deep connection between service excellence and community involvement.
