This role as the General Manager at Hotel Ivy entails leading, supervising, and directing all hotel operations and financial activities to safeguard the asset and maximize performance. Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in luxury or high-end hotels
- Proven experience managing both rooms and food and beverage departments
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations including marketing plans, security programs, labor relations, and budgeting
- Ability to stand and move throughout hotel property and perform essential functions with or without accommodation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel for corporate meetings and sales trips
- Ability to participate actively in community affairs and hotel events
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in luxury or high-end hotel operations
- Proven experience in rooms and food and beverage management
- Knowledge of hotel operations including marketing, security, personnel and labor relations, budgeting, quality assurance, hospitality law, and long-range planning
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to various audiences
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires hotel associates
- Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction through consistent product quality and service
- Tour and visually inspect property daily to monitor condition, cleanliness, cost control, and quality
- Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips, and serve on committees
- Aid Human Resources with associate issues, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Participate in community affairs to maintain positive public image
- Engage actively in sales and revenue management functions including SOP adherence, group site inspections, and performance reviews
- Guide executive committee and management to make sound business decisions
- Create and execute financial objectives
- Comply with attendance rules and perform other job-related duties as assigned
