Job Description

Mo' Bettahs is a vibrant and culturally rich restaurant that takes pride in embodying the Hawaiian spirit and values through its operations and team environment. Rooted deeply in Hawaiian tradition, Mo' Bettahs embraces core values including Kuleana (Responsibility), Ho'okipa (Hospitality and Aloha), Ho'okuku (Competitiveness), Mo'omeheu (Culture), Miki'oi (Fine Craftsmanship), and Pono (Righteousness). These values are more than mere words at Mo' Bettahs; they represent the very essence of an ideal team player - combining hunger, kindness, energy, humility, and selflessness in their approach to work and to others. The restaurant's dedication to responsibility for personal and collective actions, celebration of unique Hawaiian cultural elements, personable customer service, striving for excellence, and attention to detail separates it from other dining establishments.

Mo' Bettahs is currently seeking an experienced and passionate leader for the role of Restaurant Manager who embodies these values and is ready to guide the team toward continued success. This full-time position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $55,000 to $70,000 annually, plus significant bonus potential tied to store targets, including monthly bonuses and stay bonuses that enhance total compensation substantially. The role entails overseeing all aspects of front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations to ensure seamless day-to-day brand execution with a focus on quality, cleanliness, customer satisfaction, and employee development.

As the Restaurant Manager at Mo' Bettahs, you will be responsible for leading a diverse team of up to 40 members, motivating and managing personnel with a growth mindset and partnership approach. You will play a primary role in maintaining high standards for food quality, service, safety, sanitation, security, and adherence to company policies. Key responsibilities include managing line speed to optimize transaction times, driving same-store sales growth, and serving as the main contact for all customer service related matters to ensure excellent reviews and repeat business. Your leadership will also involve coordinating weekly meetings, completing reports such as peoplePAR staffing guides, and handling inventory and online orders.

In this role, your ability to multitask effectively while maintaining exceptional attention to detail will be critical, along with your aptitude for clear verbal and written communication and willingness to obtain necessary trainings and certifications. Operating within a fast-paced environment, you will cultivate a workplace culture that reflects Mo' Bettahs' aloha spirit not only with customers but also among team members and vendors.

Mo' Bettahs values inclusive hiring and equal opportunity employment, welcoming individuals who demonstrate commitment to their core values and exceptional leadership skills. This role comes with comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental, and life insurance, free meals while working, and discounts for friends and family when not working. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in food or business management, a proven ability to promote and develop talent, and the capability to make difficult personnel decisions when necessary. Join Mo' Bettahs and become part of a team dedicated to delivering Hawaiian hospitality and quality craftsmanship with integrity and a spirited sense of community.
