Job Description
Dave's Hot Chicken is a popular fast-casual dining restaurant known for its uniquely spicy and flavorful hot chicken dishes. Founded by best friends Dave Kopushyan, Arman Oganesyan, and the Rubenyan brothers, Tommy and Gary, the concept started as a humble chicken stand in East Hollywood and has grown into a well-respected brand with a dedicated following. The founders combined culinary expertise, social media marketing savvy, and a passion for bold and tasty food to build a thriving business. Dave's was born from a vision to create the perfect hot chicken, starting with a simple yet crave-worthy menu and sourcing high-quality ingredients to ensure juicy, tender chicken pieces blended with Dave’s unique mix of spices ranging from mild to extreme heat known as "The Reaper." This has made the restaurant a destination for spice lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
Dave's Hot Chicken Illinois, including locations such as CP 1493 S Randall Algonquin IL LLC, CP Touhy Skokie IL LLC, and CP Rand Arlington Heights IL LLC, operates under the same core values of providing exceptional food and an engaging customer experience. The restaurant not only serves guests but cultivates a fun, dynamic work environment centered around teamwork and operational excellence. At the heart of the operation is the General Manager position, which plays a pivotal role in managing restaurant activities, team performance, and customer satisfaction. This full-time leadership role requires a motivated individual who can drive operations, lead staff, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
As the General Manager, the successful candidate is responsible for all on-site restaurant functions while on duty. They will collaborate with the Restaurant Management Team to ensure all activities align with the business plan and goals. This involves supervising team members, ensuring compliance with company policies, monitoring attendance and performance, and providing ongoing training and guidance to foster employee development. The General Manager also ensures a welcoming atmosphere for guests by actively engaging with customers, addressing concerns professionally, and maintaining the restaurant’s cleanliness and operational standards.
This role demands strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include overseeing shift scheduling, delegating tasks, balancing cash drawers, and completing administrative duties such as paperwork and checklists. The General Manager must be performance-oriented, motivated to meet operational targets, and skilled in handling interpersonal and staffing issues effectively. They are expected to model a positive work ethic and demonstrate commitment to guest satisfaction consistently.
Benefits for this position include paid vacation and sick leave, employee meal perks, and if working full-time, eligibility for employer-paid short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, dental, health, and vision insurance, as well as critical illness coverage. The workplace requires flexibility with schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and opening or closing shifts, as well as physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform duties involving lifting up to 75 pounds. The General Manager role at Dave's Hot Chicken is ideal for someone passionate about food service leadership, eager to grow professionally, and dedicated to delivering an outstanding guest experience while driving restaurant success.
