Job Description
Snooze is a pioneering restaurant brand known for revolutionizing the brunch experience since its inception. As the original leaders in the brunch industry, Snooze has established itself by consistently innovating and elevating breakfast with a creative culinary approach, exceptional hospitality, and a deep commitment to the communities it serves. This company values authenticity above all, encouraging its team members, known as Snoozers, to bring their genuine selves to work every day. This unique culture fosters an environment of radical hospitality, enabling the company to deliver outstanding guest experiences marked by care and warmth.
Snooze stands apart for its dedication to responsible sourcing and sustainable practices. Their menu features cage-free eggs, focuses on animal welfare, and excludes added hormones and antibiotics. This conscientious approach to ingredients not only ensures high-quality food but also reflects the company’s broader commitment to ethical and community-minded values. Beyond just serving delicious meals, Snooze actively invests in the neighborhoods where its restaurants operate, having contributed more than $1 million back into local communities. They create inclusive and vibrant spaces that go beyond being just dining venues, becoming hubs for community connection and engagement.
Joining Snooze means becoming part of a team that challenges the status quo and breaks the mold of traditional breakfast and brunch establishments. Employees find more than just a job at Snooze; they find professional growth opportunities, a place to be celebrated for their individuality, and a platform to positively impact their surrounding communities. The company encourages passion, purpose, and pride among its team, ensuring a fulfilling and rewarding work environment where mornings are made brighter, bolder, and better for everyone involved.
The General Manager role at Snooze is a high-profile leadership position that serves as the face and driving force of the restaurant. This role is crucial, with the restaurant’s overall success hinging on the General Manager’s ability to lead operations, shape team morale, ensure guest satisfaction, and steer community engagement. The General Manager oversees planning, organizing, training, and leadership activities that affect sales, cost management, labor, employee retention, guest services, food quality, sanitation standards, and sustainability initiatives.
In this role, the General Manager not only manages day-to-day restaurant functions but also acts as an active community member, fostering bonds with nonprofits, local businesses, and government entities. This engagement helps maintain and grow Snooze’s reputation and local presence. The position requires strong financial management skills to meet sales and profitability goals, excellent communication skills to build a positive team atmosphere, and a focus on maintaining service quality aligned with Snooze’s high standards.
Snooze offers a competitive benefits package to support their General Managers and their families. Benefits include quarterly and annual bonuses based on operational performance and profit and loss management, a long-term incentive program rewarding loyalty and personal development, and reimbursement for cell phone expenses. Work-life balance is emphasized with no late-night shifts, allowing managers to be home by dinner time. The company also provides competitive pay, comprehensive health, dental, vision, pet, and accident insurance, employer-paid short-term disability and life insurance plans, 401k and Roth 401k plans, and telehealth services. Paid time off is generous, with vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, and community volunteer time included. Employee meals are fully covered, and opportunities for personal and professional growth, advancement, and community engagement abound. The company also fosters a lively workplace culture with perks like unlimited dance parties to keep the team energized and connected.
Overall, the General Manager position at Snooze is a dynamic, multifaceted leadership opportunity within a values-driven, innovative, and community-oriented company. It offers a chance to drive business success while making a positive impact on team culture, guest experience, and local neighborhoods.
