Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee, who holds a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products. It's important to understand that this franchisee operates as a separate entity from McDonald’s USA; therefore, the franchisee is the sole employer responsible for employment decisions. The restaurant functions under the well-known McDonald’s brand name but is independently owned and managed. Employment-related matters—including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, supervision, and scheduling—are handled strictly by the franchisee. McDonald’s USA has no involvement or control over these aspects and does not receive copies of employment applications nor participate in hiring decisions.

The role available is for a General Manager position, offering an exciting leadership opportunity in a vibrant, high-volume quick-service restaurant environment. The General Manager is charged with overseeing the daily operations to ensure the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. This role requires a focus on profitability and operational excellence, setting and achieving ambitious goals in conjunction with franchise leadership. The General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, coordinating their efforts, setting performance objectives, and providing ongoing coaching and development. This collaborative approach ensures that each department performs optimally and contributes to the overall success of the restaurant.

This leadership role also involves the responsibility of recruiting and developing managerial talent, including Department and Shift Managers, to build a robust team capable of sustaining and growing the business. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing high-volume quick-service restaurants or substantial experience in hospitality or retail sectors. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to qualify for this management position.

Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • prior management experience in quick-service or related industries

Job Qualifications

  • must be 18 years or older

Job Duties

  • Run a profitable restaurant ensuring adherence to McDonald’s quality, service, and cleanliness standards
  • collaborate with leadership to establish and execute restaurant goals
  • lead and support Department Managers by setting goals and coaching to improve performance
  • oversee hiring and development of Department and Shift Managers
  • manage staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations
  • monitor financial performance and manage budgets
  • ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations
