Job Description

Hartford Noodles, LLC is an independent franchisee of the well-established Noodles & Company brand, operating with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences within the Hartford area. As a franchisee, Hartford Noodles, LLC operates autonomously from Noodles Corp and its affiliates, ensuring that employees work directly under the franchisee with independently set wage and benefits structures that can vary. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead one of our Noodles & Company locations. This pivotal role requires an individual with a passion for food and guest satisfaction who can inspire and lead a team by example and innovation. The successful candidate will demonstrate persuasive problem-solving skills combined with a strong capability to manage the restaurant's profit and loss effectively. This leadership position demands a collaborative, approachable, and energetic manager who champions operational excellence and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and positivity.

The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for planning, delegating, and overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring that high standards are met consistently—from food quality and safety to guest interactions and team development. They will spearhead the implementation of company initiatives through detailed action plans and motivational leadership. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing staffing, controlling operational costs, training team members, and maintaining a positive work environment. Managing the P&L by analyzing budget variances and initiating corrective measures is an important aspect of this role. In addition, the manager will use various operational tools and guest feedback mechanisms to improve the restaurant's performance and market position, consistently striving to exceed guest expectations and generate sales growth.

This role involves managing the full experience of guests from arrival to departure and cultivating relationships within the community. The successful candidate must adhere to appearance and safety standards, promote integrity, and always emphasize teamwork and respect within the restaurant culture. Candidates should be prepared to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic and customer-focused nature of the restaurant industry.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three years prior restaurant or retail experience
  • Two years of management or leadership experience
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Team building skills
  • Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent guest service skills
  • Articulate and solid communicator
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Ability to formulate strategies and action plans to achieve results
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment

Job Duties

  • Plan, identify, communicate and delegate responsibilities to managers and team members to ensure excellent operations are consistently achieved
  • Manage with integrity and knowledge that promotes the culture and beliefs of Noodles & Company
  • Lead the implementation of company initiatives by developing action plans and directly motivating and instructing the team on the implementation plans
  • Provide direction to the team in order to achieve restaurant goals
  • Consistently review restaurant operations to identify any problems, concerns and opportunities for improvement
  • Create a positive guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all team members engage in conversations with guests to understand their needs and exceed their expectations
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members and managers and assess performance on an ongoing basis
