Job Description

MTM Transit is a leading transportation management company dedicated to improving community access by removing barriers to vital services such as grocery stores, employment, medical care, and other essential resources. Since its establishment in 2009, MTM Transit has focused on providing seamless, cost-effective, and innovative transportation solutions tailored to the unique needs of disabled, elderly, and transportation-disadvantaged populations. With an emphasis on hands-on management, MTM Transit collaborates with public transit agencies to enhance fixed-route transit utilization, optimize paratransit operations, and provide comprehensive quality assurance across multi-vendor transit systems. Over the past 12 years, the company has grown responsibly by focusing on passenger experience and proactive solutions such as on-demand microtransit services, supporting communities nationwide in overcoming mobility challenges.

The General Manager position at MTM Transit, located in Boulder, CO, is a dynamic leadership role integral to ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of transportation services. This position is responsible for overseeing contract compliance, managing relationships between corporate departments and key clients, and ensuring that all operations adhere to established contractual and regulatory guidelines. The General Manager acts as a central liaison facilitating communication among internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain service excellence and foster continuous growth.

By maintaining strong client relationships, the General Manager addresses service issues promptly while promoting a culture centered on safety and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves strategic planning, educating clients on industry changes, and ensuring all personnel and vehicle records comply with federal safety requirements.

Ideal candidates will bring 2 to 5 years of experience managing transit operations, particularly within smaller transit sites or teams operating under multimillion-dollar contracts. Strong leadership skills, analytical capabilities, and proficiency with computerized routing systems are essential for success. Experience with federal ADA, DOT, and FTA regulations is highly valued. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively underpin the role’s demands. The General Manager will also oversee federally mandated drug and alcohol programs and provide coaching to direct reports, contributing to a high-performance, safety-first workplace.

MTM Transit offers a competitive salary range of $84,640 to $126,960 annually, reflecting the company’s commitment to valuing talent and experience. The company fosters an inclusive culture where innovation, collaboration, and professional growth are paramount. Alongside its market-competitive compensation, MTM Transit provides comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company matching, paid time off, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and leadership development opportunities. The company also promotes a casual dress environment and a supportive workplace aimed at helping every employee thrive.

Joining MTM Transit means being part of a forward-thinking, mission-driven team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in communities across the country.
