The GM is accountable for leading a team of managers and associates, driving sales growth, controlling expenses, and delivering exceptional guest service. This role demands a strong passion for process excellence and results, alongside the capability to lead, influence, and develop talent effectively. As a GM, you champion Ulta Beauty's mission, vision, and values while promoting a culture of accountability and operational excellence. You will manage performance metrics such as sales, service quality, payroll, shrinkage, and omni-channel initiatives to meet or exceed company goals.\n\nPeople management is a core aspect of this role. Job Requirements
- Work a flexible, full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available to close the store at least once per week
- Attend corporate meetings and conferences including travel and overnight stays
- Maintain valid identification for airline travel
- Frequent use of computer, telephones, and office supplies
- Continuous mobility during shifts including bending, pushing, reaching, twisting, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-5+ years of fast-paced retail management or relevant experience
- Proven success in financial management including top-line sales, payroll, and expense control
- Experience in retail management with inventory monitoring, operational excellence, service culture, and merchandising
- Leadership experience attracting, developing, and motivating teams and managing change
- Proficient with Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt flexibly
Job Duties
- Promote a culture of accountability to meet or exceed sales, service, payroll, omni-channel, and retail shrink goals
- Drive company profitability through operational excellence, top-line sales growth, and expense control
- Leverage store forecast and payroll budgets to maximize productivity and achieve sales and payroll goals
- Address issues from financial and operational reports, store visits, and audits to meet company goals
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to enhance guest experience
- Attract, hire, and retain diverse, top talent and manage staffing needs
- Lead manager and associate development including training, coaching, feedback, performance reviews, succession planning, and individual development plans
