Among the exciting career opportunities at Mongolian Concepts is the position of Assistant Manager at Genghis Grill. This role is fundamentally important to the operations team and requires overseeing various aspects of restaurant management, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations, shift management, local marketing efforts, and maintaining safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and security standards in alignment with company goals. The Assistant Manager serves as a key leader in driving the restaurant’s mission, vision, and values forward, ensuring that customers receive an exceptional dining experience consistent with brand standards. Responsibilities also encompass conducting pre-shift meetings, staff coaching, human resources policy enforcement, and compliance with health and safety regulations as dictated by the FDA and local health departments.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • extensive background, 5+ years, in high volume full-service restaurant food operations
  • valid ServSafe certification
  • detailed knowledge of the county, state, and federal health codes
  • knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations
  • some knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus
  • minimum high school education, college degree preferred
  • ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and guests
  • ability to read and write to facilitate communication
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four (4) hours in length
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds in weight
  • must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
  • the workplace may frequently expose the team member to heat/cold and odors
