Job Description

This job opportunity is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee of McDonald's, a globally recognized brand known for its fast service and quality food products. It is important to note that this franchisee operates as a separate entity from McDonald's USA and holds a license to use McDonald's logos and sell its food products. Therefore, the employment relationship is directly with the franchisee, not McDonald's USA, which means the franchisee is independently responsible for all employment-related decisions including hiring, firing, and employee management. This setup provides a unique chance to be part of a well-established brand while working in a more localized business environment with the autonomy and community focus of an independent company.

The role in question is that of a General Manager, a pivotal leadership position within the restaurant's operational framework. The General Manager is entrusted with the critical responsibility of running a profitable restaurant that meets McDonald's high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role is designed for those who have a passion for leading teams, driving business goals, and managing daily operations in a fast-paced environment. The General Manager collaborates closely with other leaders and manages a team of Department Managers, who each oversee different aspects of the restaurant. This leadership role involves setting goals, planning to achieve those goals, and coaching department leaders to continuously improve their operations. Managing a team, fostering growth among managers, and being responsible for staffing and scheduling are essential functions of this position.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a General Manager, preferably in high-volume quick service restaurants, or alternatively in hospitality or retail sectors. This experience is crucial for understanding the fast-paced and dynamic environment of a busy restaurant. The General Manager should be at least 18 years old due to regulatory requirements. The position offers competitive pay and is coupled with an impressive array of benefits designed to foster long-term career growth and personal development. Among these benefits are paid vacation days, paid holidays, a sabbatical offered every 10 years, tuition assistance programs through Archways to Opportunity, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Additional benefits include flexible spending accounts, disability and life insurance, paid leaves of absence, and various employee support programs such as adoption assistance and a matching gifts program.

This opportunity not only offers a chance to lead a respected and beloved brand's restaurant but also to develop professionally in a supportive environment that values education, leadership, and community involvement. The company encourages team members to grow with the business and pursue their career aspirations while maintaining a focus on delivering outstanding customer service and quality. This is a role for someone motivated to make a meaningful impact and to thrive in a leadership position that rewards hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.
