The company prides itself on delivering not just great food but also an exceptional dining experience that keeps customers coming back. Known for its fresh never frozen beef and innovative menu offerings, Wendy's combines quality, service, and a dedication to its employees' career growth opportunities. Being part of Wendy's means joining a team that values leadership, operational excellence, and a supportive work environment.

The role of the General Manager at Wendy's is pivotal in maintaining the high standards and successful operations of each restaurant location. Serving as the leader of the restaurant management team, the General Manager is entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the staff, creating a culture that exceeds customer expectations, and ensuring all shifts run smoothly and accomplish their business objectives. Reporting directly to a District Manager, the General Manager oversees daily restaurant operations which include managing financial controls, staff scheduling, hiring, and training. This role demands a strong commitment to quality control, food safety, facility management, and compliance with health and safety inspections.

In addition to operational management, the General Manager fosters team development by coaching, counseling, and mentoring team members, thereby cultivating a positive work environment that drives employee engagement and customer satisfaction. Wendy's General Manager role offers robust career growth potential with opportunities to advance within and beyond the restaurants. Employees receive paid training designed to equip them with the knowledge and skills to lead effectively in line with the Wendy's Way. This position provides competitive pay alongside monthly bonuses, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance plan options, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

Wendy's expects its General Managers to lead by example, delivering a service experience that guests eagerly anticipate. Ideal candidates are problem solvers who thrive in decision-making roles, and who cultivate a 'Customer First' mindset within their teams. A passion for leadership and a commitment to food safety culture are essential. General Managers balance operational metrics, financial goals, and employee/guest experience with finesse. The role requires leading management teams toward achievement of sales and operational targets, while ensuring compliance with brand standards and safety certifications such as SERV Safe. Physical demands include standing and moving during shifts and the ability to use various restaurant equipment. Reliable transportation to the home store and occasional other locations is necessary.
