Job Description

Buffalo Wild Wings is a renowned sports bar and restaurant chain that has been delivering an exceptional game-day experience since its inception in 1982. Founded by Jim Disbrow and Scott Lowery in Ohio, the company was born out of a passion for authentic Buffalo, New York-style chicken wings. Over the past decades, Buffalo Wild Wings has evolved into a beloved household name famous for its lively, welcoming neighborhood atmosphere and a lineup of 21 unique signature sauces and seasonings that keep fans coming back for more. The establishment thrives on bringing sports enthusiasts together, offering a front-row seat to every game with an ambiance that captures the true spirit of sports fandom. With a commitment to quality food and unmatched entertainment, Buffalo Wild Wings takes pride in being a top player in the casual dining and sports bar industry.

The Sports Bar General Manager role at Buffalo Wild Wings is a pivotal leadership position designed for a candidate who embodies the passion and energy of a true game-day leader. As the head coach of the establishment, the General Manager will spearhead efforts to create the ultimate experience for sports fans. This involves planning and executing local restaurant marketing, managing the Profit and Loss statement to ensure financial success, and leading a dedicated Management Team including the Assistant General Manager, Hospitality Manager, Service Manager, Bar Manager, and Kitchen Manager. The General Manager is tasked with enhancing team performance, fostering employee engagement, and overseeing comprehensive training initiatives.

Additionally, this role extends beyond daily operations to include managing community connections and organizing fundraising activities, further cementing Buffalo Wild Wings' commitment to its local communities. Candidates with knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, responsible alcohol service, as well as familiarity with safety and security procedures, will find themselves well-positioned to succeed in this role. Proficiency in computer operations and financial acumen, including the ability to analyze Profit and Loss statements, are essential for maintaining operational excellence.

Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma, with preference given to those holding a bachelor's degree and 4 to 5 years of management experience, particularly in restaurant general management. A team-focused mindset and a passion for coaching and developing staff are crucial, as the role is heavily centered on nurturing talent and driving a motivated workforce. In return, Buffalo Wild Wings offers competitive monthly and quarterly bonuses, a comprehensive benefits program, and abundant opportunities for professional growth. Ambitious managers who aspire to advance to Training General Manager or District Manager positions will find strong support for career development.

Joining Buffalo Wild Wings as a Sports Bar General Manager means stepping into a fast-paced, energetic environment where no sporting event will be missed. This full-time position allows individuals to lead a dynamic team, implement strategic initiatives, and contribute to the sustained success of a leading brand in the sports bar industry.
