Job Description
Badger Infrastructure Solutions is a renowned industry leader specializing in non-destructive hydro-excavation (hydrovac) services, operating since 1992. Over the years, Badger has pioneered cutting-edge technology and provided exceptional services to a vast array of customers. Their clientele spans multiple sectors, including oil and gas, energy, industrial, construction, transportation, and various government agencies throughout Canada and the United States. This extensive market reach highlights Badger's reputation for reliability, innovation, and commitment to quality.
The company prides itself on fostering a diverse workforce, embracing talent from numerous backgrounds. This philosophy is not only rooted in the principles of equity but also in the strategic vision to strengthen the organization through varied perspectives and experiences. At Badger, inclusive hiring practices drive both business success and workplace culture.
The General Manager position at Badger Infrastructure Solutions is a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing, developing, and expanding operational business activities within the assigned region. This full-time, highly strategic role reports to senior management and plays an integral part in executing Badger's corporate objectives through effective regional business planning and operational oversight. Compensation for the role is competitive and commensurate with the candidate's education and experience.
As General Manager, the successful candidate will craft and implement a comprehensive one to two-year business plan that aligns with Badger’s overarching corporate strategy as well as the immediate manager’s directives. This plan encompasses diverse aspects, including safety protocols, superior customer service, employee retention strategies, financial performance enhancement, and sustainable business growth.
A large component of the role involves strategic positioning and market development, where the General Manager identifies and targets key market areas and vital industry segments suitable for hydrovac services that Badger specializes in. They will also oversee the recruitment and development of capable local managers who will manage daily operations and local truck fleets effectively.
Furthermore, the General Manager is tasked with expanding market awareness and demand for hydrovac services, leveraging education and outreach to secure sustained regional growth. This involves close collaboration with the U.S. Finance and Administration Manager to guarantee robust financial planning, adherent budget preparation, and stringent fiscal control.
This leadership role requires ten or more years of experience, preferably within industries such as vacuum/pump trucks, commercial underground construction, trucking and fleet management, sewer and water lines, underground utilities, waste management, or equipment rentals. Additionally, candidates should possess at least five years of full profit and loss management experience, with proven capabilities in multi-unit and multi-state management responsibilities.
Joining Badger Infrastructure Solutions means becoming part of an innovative and supportive environment, where leadership is recognized and rewarded. The General Manager role provides a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic business unit within a growing and technologically advanced company centered on sustainable operations and industry excellence. This position not only contributes to Badger’s growth but also offers personal and professional development within a forward-thinking organization committed to its people and clients. There is truly no better time to join and grow with Badger.
