Established with a mission to Serve the World Flavor, Wingstop has grown to become a favorite destination for guests seeking high-quality and flavorful food in a vibrant and energetic environment. The company prides itself on fostering a culture that emphasizes hospitality, hard work, team collaboration, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of restaurant operations. Wingstop's core values and customer-first approach have positioned it as a popular brand in the fast-casual dining sector, appealing to diverse customers while maintaining consistent operational standards across its numerous locations nationwide.
The General Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the success of a Wingstop restaurant by providing strategic and tactical leadership. This position involves overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, from staffing and training to financial and operations management. The General Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and positive work environment for team members and guests alike, ensuring that the restaurant upholds Wingstop's brand standards and culture. A successful candidate for this role must be a creative team player with a passion for hard work, fun, and a sincere dedication to the growth and prosperity of the restaurant and the Wingstop brand.
In their daily duties, the General Manager must hire, train, and develop a team that embodies the Wingstop mission while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Managing staffing levels efficiently to meet sales demands without exceeding payroll budgets is essential to maintaining profitability. The role also requires comprehensive financial oversight, including auditing operations, controlling labor and food costs, and analyzing profit and loss statements. The General Manager must set ambitious goals and develop business plans that foster sales growth and operational excellence.
Operational responsibilities extend to maintaining facility standards, ensuring maintenance issues are promptly addressed, and compliance with risk management policies. Communication between the restaurant team and district leadership is crucial, making the General Manager the conduit for company updates and feedback. Utilizing company-provided tools and support from the Restaurant Support Center, the General Manager coaches and mentors team members to build a high-performing staff that is engaged, motivated, and aligned with Wingstop’s culture and goals.
This is a demanding role that calls for strong leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of restaurant operations and financial management. Candidates should be able to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, committing around 50 to 60 hours per week. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in food service or retail management who are enthusiastic about hospitality, team development, and operational success. Wingstop offers a dynamic work environment where leaders can make a tangible impact and grow their careers while contributing to the mission of Serving the World Flavor.
