Job Description

This particular position is for a Restaurant Manager (RM) at a single restaurant location employing between 10 to 60 employees. The employment type is full-time and may require working long and/or irregular hours, including extra shifts when needed to ensure the proper functioning of the restaurant. The Restaurant Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations to ensure the achievement of key outcomes such as increased sales, profitability, and employee retention. The RM is responsible for mobilizing the restaurant management team across all shifts to manage financial controls, operational processes, staff development, customer service excellence, and compliance with Burger King Corporation (BKC) policies. This role demands strong leadership abilities, the capacity to deal with operational challenges, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, staff coaching, and motivating employees. Responsibilities include directing efficient product preparation and sales, maintaining restaurant facilities, leading the team through clear communication and positive attitude, resolving operational bottlenecks, and ensuring adherence to company standards. The RM is expected to foster a welcoming atmosphere for customers, handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, and implement local marketing and community involvement strategies. A key responsibility is building and retaining a talented team by coaching and developing crew members and managers, directing recruitment, and managing discipline when necessary. Financial management is a significant aspect of the role, requiring the RM to create and oversee budgets, labor scheduling, inventory control, and performance analysis to meet profit and loss targets. Compliance with health, safety, employment laws, and company policies is strictly enforced under the RM's supervision, ensuring a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers. This leadership position requires a combination of operational expertise, people management skills, and business acumen to drive the restaurant's success and uphold Burger King's brand standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two years of college or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of four years leadership experience in a Burger King restaurant or comparable restaurant or retail/hospitality industry
  • proficiency in English language
  • strong math skills
  • computer literacy including Windows
  • completion or willingness to complete internal certification training programs
  • ability to work long and/or irregular hours including extra shifts
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to lead and motivate teams

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of four years of excellent performance standards with a Burger King restaurant or comparable work record
  • English language proficiency
