The role of the Salon Director at Sun Tan City is a pivotal one, contributing significantly to the salon's overall success by leading a motivated team to deliver the distinct Sun Tan City experience. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage daily operations including supervising staff, handling staffing decisions such as hiring and training, evaluating team performance, disciplining when necessary, and scheduling shifts to meet operational demands. The Salon Director plays a critical role in ensuring exemplary client satisfaction and quality service, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the salon, and handling minor maintenance issues. Additionally, the Salon Director motivates the team to achieve performance goals by driving company metrics and implementing action plans that align with corporate strategies. Management responsibilities include adherence to wage and hour laws, operational excellence through use of management tools like labor guidelines and financial reports, and fostering a positive work culture based on integrity, honesty, and the company’s values. This role requires working a minimum of 40 hours per week across a five-day schedule with flexibility to cover mid and closing shifts. Job Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment
Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes
Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors
Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
Management and/or sales experience required
Basic computer skills including ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook

Developing and coaching employees to provide amazing client experiences
Following up swiftly on client concerns and issues

Drives company metrics by developing action plans
Directly motivates and instructs the salon team by implementing company programs

Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations
Directly responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the salon
Manages salon staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain salon operational requirements
Adherence to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors
Uses all operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the salon
Utilizes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in salon performance
Regularly conducts performance assessments, providing feedback and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance
Manage ongoing sales
The Salon Director is required to work a 5-day workweek of 40 hours per week
The Salon Director is required to work a varying number of mid and/or closing shifts each week as determined by their supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs
