With a rich history and strong ties to local communities, Bob Evans prides itself on delivering a welcoming and family-friendly dining experience that consistently meets the highest standards of quality and service. The company emphasizes a culture of care, teamwork, and hospitality, grounded in the philosophy of its founder, Bob Evans, who believed in "growing good." This commitment to excellence and community is reflected in every aspect of their operations, from the farm-fresh food they serve to the employee experience they cultivate.
Bob Evans is currently seeking a General Manager to lead one of their restaurant locations. This role is critical to the daily operations and overall success of the restaurant, requiring a dynamic, experienced leader who can manage staff, uphold company policies, and drive business results. The position offers a competitive salary of up to $70,000 per year, which varies based on experience and local market factors. The role also promises a balanced work-life environment with early closing hours and no late nights, emphasizing career growth, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with employer match.
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all facets of restaurant operations to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction and profitability. Your leadership will shape the culture of the restaurant, foster a positive work environment, and ensure that all team members are well-trained and motivated. You will take charge of recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, performance appraisal, and addressing staff-related issues with fairness and professionalism. Additionally, you will champion sales growth efforts, guest relations, food quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
This role demands exceptional communication, conflict resolution, planning, and organizational skills. You will utilize your knowledge of business math, problem-solving capabilities, and computer proficiency to manage budgets, control food and labor costs, and achieve financial objectives. The position involves not only managing day-to-day operations but also setting a professional example for employees and interacting warmly with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
Bob Evans values diversity and inclusion, operating as an equal opportunity employer and participating in E-Verify. The company supports its employees with competitive compensation, health and welfare benefits, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 4-6 years of leadership experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurants preferred. College education or culinary schooling is a plus. Candidates must also be capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the job and adhering to safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment for guests and employees alike.
Joining Bob Evans means becoming part of a team that is committed to excellence, community, and the growth of its people and its brand. If you are passionate about leading a restaurant that prioritizes quality food, exceptional guest service, and a positive employee culture, this opportunity is an excellent match for your career goals and aspirations. Embrace the chance to grow with Bob Evans, where good truly grows.
