Job Description

As part of this expansion and continuous improvement, Jalapeon Tree is seeking a General Manager to lead one of its restaurant locations. This leadership position is critical to the success of the restaurant, requiring a seasoned professional who is passionate about operational excellence, team leadership, and guest satisfaction. The General Manager will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day activities, ensuring that every guest enjoys top-notch quality and service from the moment they enter the doors. This includes managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, labor scheduling, inventory control, and the overall financial performance of the location. The role demands a hands-on leader who can inspire, coach, and develop a diverse team of managers and hourly employees to consistently perform at their best. Maintaining strict compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards is a pivotal part of this role, as is upholding the integrity of the Jalapeon Tree brand through consistent execution of its culinary and service standards. New General Managers will undergo thorough initial training based at the flagship Jalapeon Tree restaurant in Tyler, TX, before transitioning to their designated stores, ensuring they are well-equipped to drive success and uphold the company’s values. The employment is full-time and requires a strong commitment to working a demanding schedule, including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years as a General Manager or strong Assistant Manager in a full-service or fast-paced restaurant
  • valid driver's license
  • must be at least 21 years old
  • strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • excellent communication and guest service abilities
  • solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and P&L management
  • proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • able to stand, walk, bend, and move at a rapid pace for extended periods
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot/cold environments
  • must be able to work 50-55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
