The role of a WingHouse Manager is integral to sustaining the brand’s high standards and ensuring every guest has a consistent and exceptional experience. This position involves assisting and working closely with the Regional Manager to lead and nurture the restaurant team including assistant managers and support staff. The manager is tasked with creating a positive, motivating work environment, implementing operational improvements, and embodying the WingHouse philosophy in both employee interactions and guest relations. The key focus is to drive sales growth year over year, maintain profitability, and ensure satisfaction for employees and customers without compromising the restaurant’s concept or quality standards.

Managers oversee day-to-day operations including scheduling, inventory, cash handling, and compliance with health and safety regulations. They are expected to uphold the WingHouse brand by ensuring cleanliness, atmosphere, and service quality meet company expectations. Supervisory duties extend to training and developing assistant managers through the Assistant Management Development program and maintaining continual communication with staff. Managers also handle administrative tasks such as payroll, sales tracking, and personnel management. A major component of the role involves coaching staff effectively, resolving issues diplomatically, and fostering a team environment aligned with company goals.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to work long hours with a sense of urgency, and to respond flexibly to business demands including weekends, holidays, and shift changes. Managers must be presentable, adhere to a strict uniform and grooming code, and comply with all company, state, and federal policies. Those in this role must demonstrate excellent communication skills to influence team actions, handle customer situations with professionalism, and serve as role models within the restaurant. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry preferred
  • Leadership skills with ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations including scheduling, inventory, and cash management
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflicts diplomatically
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Successful completion of company management training programs including MIT and any state-required certification
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency with POS systems and data management tools
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment

Job Duties

  • Assist and work with your Regional Manager
  • To lead and develop other team members including Assistant Managers and support staff
  • To create a positive work environment
  • To implement changes and improvements in a positive manner
  • To embrace the WingHouse philosophy and project that to employees and customers
  • To build and increase sales over the previous year's sales and maintain profitability while ensuring employee and guest satisfaction
  • To follow regulations and duties as prescribed in accordance with company guidelines
  • Assess the needs of the building or equipment and ensure safe operation to prevent hazards
  • Maintain exterior store appearance
  • Fill out and post Manager Schedule
  • Approve all employee schedules ensuring they meet labor and operational goals
  • Supervise and ensure Areas of Responsibilities are completed
  • Develop assistant managers through the Assistant Management Development program
  • Schedule monthly one-on-one meetings with assistant managers and weekly meetings with staff
  • Follow standard operating and sanitation procedures in BOH and FOH
  • Ensure employee motivation and satisfaction
  • Consistently ensure guest satisfaction and promote the WingHouse concept
  • Ensure location meets all WingHouse standards daily including cleanliness, atmosphere, service, guest experience, and employee interaction
  • Execute timing guidelines and plate presentations
  • Oversee restaurant illumination, music, and A.V. equipment
  • Ensure all WingHouse policies are adhered to
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly administrative duties including hiring, training, sales and labor tracking, payroll, petty cash, deposits, and payouts
  • Utilize register (POS) and Enterprise Data Mining System
  • Manage cash handling and reconciliation
  • Review Concept Girl and company training
  • Assess and oversee inventory process
  • Set objectives and budgets to meet profitability and sales goals
  • Build sales through approved incentives, contests, and promotions
  • Adhere to all company, state, and federal policies and laws
  • Coach and counsel employees and managers effectively
  • Energize and motivate managers and staff
  • Lead by influencing actions and opinions toward company goals
  • Solve problems with judgment and understanding
  • Build high morale and group commitment
  • Recruit, train, and retain employees
