Job Description
U.S. Lawns is a leading provider in the commercial landscaping industry, operating through a system of independently owned and operated franchise businesses. The company prides itself on delivering professional and reliable lawn care services to a wide range of clients, including businesses, residential communities, and municipalities. Each franchise operates with a high degree of autonomy, ensuring localized management and personalized customer service tailored to meet the unique needs of their specific markets. Commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction are core values that U.S. Lawns upholds across all its franchises.
The position in question is centered around managing a U.S. Lawns franchise office, requiring a dynamic individual who is adept in various facets of business operations, financial management, client relations, employee supervision, and safety compliance. As a franchise manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all budgets, including labor, material, and administrative costs, ensuring the financial health and accountability of the franchise location. This role involves managing accounts receivable and having comprehensive understanding and control over profit and loss statements and cash flow to maintain and drive operational efficiency.
Client management is a significant aspect of this role, where you will be the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships. Responsibilities include maintaining a client contact log, managing client survey programs to gauge satisfaction and gather feedback, and working collaboratively to establish maintenance and enhancement budgets. Active participation in client-driven local activities is also essential to strengthen community ties and enhance client engagement.
Employee management requires strategic thinking and hands-on leadership. You will develop and implement recruiting strategies to attract talented individuals, provide supervisory training to key employees to ensure quality workforce development, and facilitate effective communication between the field and office staff. Enhancing crew morale through targeted initiatives and morale boosters is vital to maintaining a motivated and productive team.
Safety management is a critical duty within this role. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety programs and regulations, including local, state, and federal laws such as OSHA standards. Acting as or supervising the branch safety officer, you will monitor and enforce the Hazcom Program and maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for shop and vehicle requirements. Upholding workplace safety promotes a secure environment for all employees and mitigates risk.
This position embodies the core leadership role within a U.S. Lawns franchise, requiring a comprehensive balance of business acumen, customer service, team leadership, and regulatory compliance. Candidates should expect to wear many hats and be an integral part of delivering excellence within their service area. By acknowledging that all U.S. Lawns offices operate as independently owned franchises, applicants understand that employment decisions are made by the franchise owner, not U.S. Lawns, Inc. This distinct structure emphasizes direct franchise ownership and control but assures that all franchisees operate with the company's commitment to quality and professionalism. U.S. Lawns is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming diverse candidates who are motivated to join a well-respected franchise system dedicated to growth, client satisfaction, and employee success.
