Excel Hotel Group is a fully integrated property ownership, management, and development company experiencing dynamic growth across various hospitality sectors. Dedicated to providing exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences, Excel Hotel Group manages a diverse portfolio of hotel properties that range from luxury to select-service accommodations. With a commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and employee development, Excel Hotel Group has established itself as a leader within the hospitality industry. The company focuses on comprehensive property management, including day-to-day operations, marketing strategies, financial control, and staff training to ensure the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

The role of General Manager at Excel Hotel Group is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of an assigned hotel property to guarantee optimum performance and continual improvements in key operational areas. These areas include guest service, employee management, sales and marketing, property appearance, and financial performance. The General Manager works closely with various departments to enhance profitability and efficiency, while upholding brand standards and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $83,000 per year, reflecting the importance of the role in driving the hotel's success.

As General Manager, you will coordinate and direct all staff and daily hotel operations, ensuring that the property achieves its financial goals while delivering outstanding service to guests. A significant part of the role involves managing revenues and controlling expenses to maximize flow-through to the bottom line profit. You will be actively involved in budgeting and forecasting, looking closely at financial activities such as account reconciliation, monitoring guest balances, direct bill receivables, and vendor commission payments. Inventory management and ensuring purchases are within budget and from approved vendors also fall under your scope of responsibilities.

Collaboration with the Director of Sales & Marketing is essential to align property sales efforts with revenue objectives. Additionally, you will play a hands-on role in recruiting qualified candidates, employee training, and ensuring that all team members adhere to company and brand standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Technological proficiency in computer applications such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and hotel management systems is essential for efficiently managing property operations.

Working at Excel Hotel Group means joining a company with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with company match for full-time associates. The company fosters an inclusive work environment and is an equal opportunity employer, encouraging diverse talent to apply. With opportunities for professional growth and internal promotion, the General Manager position offers a rewarding career path with a supportive corporate culture.
