Job Description
U.S. Lawns is a leading provider of commercial lawn care services across the United States. Operating as a network of independently owned and operated franchisees, U.S. Lawns specializes in delivering high-quality landscaping and lawn maintenance solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of businesses and commercial properties. With a commitment to customer satisfaction and environmental stewardship, U.S. Lawns has established a reputation for reliable service, innovative maintenance techniques, and a strong local presence. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, the company values diversity and inclusion within its workforce.
This role is designed for a professional who will assume comprehensive management responsibilities, from financial oversight to client relations and employee supervision. The position includes managing budgets related to labor, materials, and administration, as well as monitoring account receivables and understanding key financial documents such as profit and loss statements and cash flow. The individual will act as the primary contact for clients, maintain client satisfaction through various engagement initiatives including client surveys, and develop maintenance and enhancement budgets collaboratively with clients.
Employee management is a central component of the role, requiring the development and implementation of recruiting strategies, conducting supervisory training for key personnel, and maintaining effective communication channels between office staff and field crews. Ensuring and promoting crew morale is emphasized, with the responsibility of initiating morale-boosting activities.
Safety management is also critical, with duties that include ensuring compliance with all safety programs, overseeing the branch safety officer or acting in that capacity, and monitoring adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Managing the hazard communication program and maintaining material safety data sheets (MSDS) for all shops and vehicles underscore the commitment to a safe work environment.
Candidates considering this opportunity should be aware that employment decisions are made at the franchise level rather than by U.S. Lawns, Inc. directly. Therefore, any offers of employment and related decisions are the responsibility of the independent franchisee operations. This structure highlights the entrepreneurial spirit within each franchise and the unique operational dynamics of the U.S. Lawns system. Overall, this role presents a unique opportunity to join a reputable organization dedicated to excellence in commercial lawn care management and contribute to its ongoing success within a supportive franchise network.
