The role detailed here is that of a Store Manager responsible for overseeing the performance of a Leslie’s retail location. This position is critical in ensuring that the store not only meets but consistently exceeds customer service standards, sales goals, profitability targets, operational procedures, and merchandising objectives. The Store Manager plays a direct role in managing sales plans, profit margins, payroll, and all controllable expenses of the store. They are also accountable for executing all company-developed programs effectively and efficiently.
This position involves hiring highly competent employees, known as "A players," who possess the right skills and competencies. The Store Manager is tasked with training and developing these new hires by utilizing all required training programs and establishing high expectations for customer service excellence and creating an engaging, positive work environment. The role demands leadership that demonstrates personal example and sets clear standards for the team to follow.
The compensation for this role ranges from $42,080 to $45,080 as a base salary, with the final amount determined by the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal pay equity, and market data alignment. The Store Manager has multiple performance objectives including achieving or exceeding sales budget, EBITDA/SOC goals, labor rate goals, shrinkage targets, gross margin budgets, average per customer goals, customer count growth, and a 95 percent or higher mystery shop score.
In addition to operational duties, the ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive set of competencies including the ability to recruit top talent, efficiency in work output, strong organizational and planning skills, industry knowledge, a customer service mindset, assertiveness, commitment follow-through, intelligence, analytical capabilities, high performance standards, attention to detail, proactivity, coaching and development skills, strong ethics and integrity, creativity, enthusiasm, work ethic, clear communication, teamwork, and adaptability.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in retail management or relevant supervisory roles
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Ability to meet sales and profitability targets

- Successful completion of all training modules including GMIT and Talent Platform training
