Job Description
The hiring establishment is a reputable and customer-focused restaurant dedicated to delivering high quality food products and an exceptional dining experience. This company operates in the fast-casual dining sector, specializing in providing world class customer service alongside fast and accurate food preparation, particularly sandwiches. With a commitment to maintaining clean, organized operations and ensuring profitability, the restaurant thrives on the skills and dedication of its management team and staff. The environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring efficient management of personnel, inventory, and customer interactions to meet and exceed business goals. This establishment values integrity, teamwork, and operational excellence, aiming to create a memorable experience for every customer that walks through its doors.
The role being offered is a full-time Restaurant Manager position that plays a pivotal role in overseeing all operational aspects of the restaurant to ensure customer satisfaction and financial success. As the Restaurant Manager, you will directly supervise a team consisting of approximately 25-30 employees including 3 Assistant Managers. You will be responsible for staffing decisions such as hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating employees when necessary. The role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can guide team members, maintain high food quality standards, and uphold exceptional customer service practices.
A key responsibility of this position is to manage inventory controls, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies to minimize waste and prevent theft. The Restaurant Manager will also forecast food needs per shift, supervise food preparation and service, and assist during peak periods by performing front-line duties like greeting customers, taking orders, and ensuring order accuracy. This ensures operational efficiency and helps maintain the reputation for speedy and world class service.
The Restaurant Manager is accountable for executing all company systems and procedures with integrity and precision, completing necessary paperwork accurately and on time, and conducting weekly manager meetings to foster communication and operational alignment. Additional duties include overseeing cash handling procedures, including managing cash drawers, deposits, and change orders with full accountability during shifts.
Physical stamina is essential for this role as it requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and sometimes climbing or crouching. Attention to detail is crucial when auditing shift paperwork, monitoring inventory, and performing preventative maintenance to keep the restaurant facilities and equipment in optimal condition.
This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong leadership capabilities, proficient in English with solid math skills, and comfortable using basic computer software such as Microsoft Excel and Word. The candidate must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and maintain a flexible schedule according to business needs. Additionally, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record are mandatory for this position. The Restaurant Manager must be physically capable of managing the demands of a busy restaurant environment for 50-60 hours per week.
Overall, this is an excellent career opportunity for someone passionate about restaurant management who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences while driving business success.
