Urban Air Huntsville, one of the flourishing locations within the Urban Air family, is currently seeking a General Manager. This role is a critical leadership position focused on maintaining the unique, fun culture while driving operational success and financial performance. This position requires an enthusiastic, motivated leader who can foster a team-oriented environment, instill accountability, and set clear priorities to meet company goals. The General Manager will provide comprehensive leadership, vision, and direction to the team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences across all areas of the park including entertainment, food and beverage services, attractions, and property management.
The responsibilities of the General Manager include managing staff hiring, training, and mentorship programs, cultivating a collaborative team atmosphere to ensure top-tier customer service, and leading the management team to operate at peak productivity. This person will implement all staff training initiatives and develop leadership potential among employees through promotion and mentoring. The GM will also maintain strong community relationships by fostering partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
On the operational side, the General Manager ensures a safe, clean, and secure environment for both guests and team members. They are accountable for the smooth execution of daily operations in line with company standards and work closely with the franchise owners to hold managers responsible for departmental goals. Additionally, the role demands close monitoring of guest feedback through online reviews to continuously enhance the guest experience.
Financial oversight is a key component of the position, demanding proficiency in fiscal responsibility, inventory control, labor management, and cost control. The General Manager will execute company marketing strategies to capitalize on business opportunities and drive revenue growth. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of facility operations and management experience in hospitality or related field
- proven leadership and team development skills
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and conduct
- ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
- experience in budget management and financial analysis
- valid driver’s license

- 3+ years of experience in Facility Operations and Management required

- must be professional energetic self-motivated and able to motivate others and have a positive attitude
- intermediate computer skills - Microsoft Office Excel Word PowerPoint

Job Duties
- Hire train and provide mentorship to the staff to further develop their skills
- cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service
- implement and execute all staff training programs
- assist in selecting and developing Area Leads and Certified Trainers for more responsibility or internal promotability
- lead and influence managerial staff through effective motivation leveraging individual strengths to ensure maximum productivity
- ensure execution of all employee recognition and incentive programs as documented
- maintain a strong community presence through partnership with community and business organizations
- maintain a safe clean and secure environment for all guests and staff
- responsible for all aspects of the operation including entertainment food beverage attractions and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives
