MV Transportation is a leading provider in the transportation services industry, dedicated to delivering safe, dependable, and innovative transit solutions across numerous regions and service types. Known for its customer-focused approach and commitment to excellence, MV Transportation operates various transportation contracts that cater to fixed-route and paratransit systems, charter services, and student transportation. With a nationwide presence, the company emphasizes compliance, operational excellence, and the development of its workforce to ensure superior service to clients and passengers alike. MV Transportation is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace, adhering to equal employment opportunity policies, and promoting diversity within its teams.

The role of General Manager is a critical leadership position within MV Transportation that demands extensive expertise in transit operations and a dynamic leadership style. This full-time position offers a competitive starting salary range of $138,000 to $162,500, reflecting the high level of responsibility and experience required. The General Manager will provide overall support, leadership, and direction to assigned operating locations, ensuring the successful delivery of annual business plans and contract compliance. This role involves hands-on management of day-to-day transportation operations, with an emphasis on maintaining quality service, fleet readiness, and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities for the General Manager include managing customer relations through direct engagement and outreach programs to enhance satisfaction and address concerns proactively. The General Manager maintains routine contact with clients to exceed expectations, conducts departmental audits, and performs regular reviews of operational metrics to identify areas for operational and financial improvement.

Financial stewardship is another vital aspect of the role. The General Manager is responsible for the continuous management of all location financial metrics, timely reporting of exceptions, and development of action plans to meet financial, safety, and operational goals. Implementation and adherence to company policies and procedures are strictly enforced to maintain standardized operations. Interaction with organizational committees allows the General Manager to influence positive changes in policies and programs.

In addition to daily operational duties, the General Manager participates in labor and employee relations activities, providing leadership in negotiations and fostering a collaborative work environment. Supporting contract renewals and preparing the location's annual budget are critical strategic responsibilities to ensure contract success and organizational sustainability. This role requires a seasoned professional with comprehensive knowledge of transit system operations, labor relations, compliance, and team leadership to guide the location towards sustained success and growth.
