Our client is an upcoming luxury hotel preparing to open its doors in late 2025 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The role of Hotel General Manager for this new opening is a pivotal leadership position. This full-time role offers a competitive salary package in the range of $120,000 to $130,000 annually, complemented by performance bonuses. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all hotel operations, ensuring that every department runs smoothly and meets the highest standards of service and efficiency. This includes managing Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Sales & Marketing, and Engineering departments. The candidate must provide strategic leadership, driving both daily operational success and long-term business growth. The role requires a strong focus on guest satisfaction and revenue management, with an ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in hotel management with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated success managing luxury hotel operations
- Experience with pre-opening hotel procedures
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams
- Proficiency with hotel management software
- Flexibility to work extended hours during pre-opening and launch phases
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in luxury hotel operations including leadership roles
- Previous involvement in hotel openings with strong understanding of pre-opening processes
- Solid knowledge of net operating income (NOI), budgeting, and financial performance metrics
- Proficient in computer systems with experience in hotel management software preferred
- Familiarity with construction or renovation processes is a plus
