Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to college degree in hotel and restaurant management or relevant experience
- Five years supervisory experience in restaurant or related industry
- Certification in national food safety standards
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train and develop staff effectively
- Capable of managing budgets and controlling costs
- Proficient in operational reporting and scheduling
- Commitment to compliance with labor laws and safety protocols
- Physical ability to stand and walk constantly and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Job Qualifications
- College graduate with degree in hotel and restaurant management or equivalent experience
- Certified in a national food safety program
- Five years experience in a supervisory position
- Certified in-store trainer in all areas
Job Duties
- Lead team to increase business sales and net profit to meet annual budget
- Ensure preparation and review of daily summary report against control totals from cash register system for accuracy
- Ensure accurate preparation of weekly operations report based on daily summaries
- Complete and follow-up on weekly schedules and daily deployment according to budget forecasts
- Maintain controllable costs according to system averages
- Control product inventory as per business needs
- Complete and document food temperatures and product rotation per quality and safe food checklists
- Train and demonstrate food safety practices effectively
- Ensure product quality and portion control meet system standards
- Support risk management team in safety standards implementation
- Supervise hiring and orientation of all team members
- Oversee initial and ongoing training and development of team members
- Develop management skills of management team
- Coach and mentor team members, provide documentation when necessary
- Evaluate management performance annually and supervise bi-annual team member appraisals
- Provide wage adjustments based on performance
- Ensure restaurant compliance with federal and state labor laws
- Enroll eligible team members in group benefit program
- Enforce policies consistently
- Conduct weekly management meetings
- Schedule team member meetings to maintain system standards
- Maintain consistent uniform and appearance standards
- Facilitate timely and effective communication within the team
- Maintain excellence in guest relations and follow up on guest comment cards
- Supervise timely quality product delivery for dine-in and drive-thru
- Ensure maintenance and repair of equipment
- Oversee cleaning and organization of restaurant and grounds
- Conduct daily restaurant tours before and after each shift
- Build and maintain community relationships via local marketing
- Model positive and effective leadership in appearance and attitude
- Attend manager skills classes and apply knowledge
- Monitor email and extranet communication regularly
- Implement new products and procedures accurately
- Maintain office files and postings according to standards
- Coordinate and communicate restaurant policies and procedures to team members
