As an employer, Wendy's offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and numerous opportunities for career advancement, reflecting its commitment to investing in its employees' futures.
The role of a General Manager at Wendy's is pivotal to the operation and success of each restaurant. General Managers lead the restaurant management team, providing direction, training, and expertise to ensure the highest standards in customer service and operational performance are met. Working under the guidance of a District Manager, General Managers are responsible for overseeing daily operations, including financial controls, staffing, and compliance with health and safety regulations. This role demands a hands-on leader who is passionate about creating a positive dining experience that encourages guests to return frequently.
General Managers at Wendy's manage various critical facets of the restaurant's functioning. They oversee staff recruitment, training, and development, fostering a workplace culture that values teamwork and individual growth. Managing schedules efficiently, they ensure adequate coverage to maintain smooth operations across shifts. Financial management is another core responsibility; General Managers keep a close eye on day-to-day financial controls to meet the restaurant's business goals. They also ensure that proper food handling, equipment maintenance, and facility standards are upheld to provide a safe and clean environment for both employees and customers.
This position offers more than just routine managerial duties. Wendy's supports career growth and offers paid training to prepare General Managers to excel in their roles and advance within the company. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance options, and a 401(k) plan with employer match. Additionally, employees enjoy perks such as meal discounts while on duty and access to an employee discount program. Compensation is competitive and includes monthly bonuses that reward outstanding performance.
Wendy's seeks leaders who are dedicated to creating exceptional service experiences, enthusiastic about problem-solving and decision-making, and committed to fostering a "Customer First" attitude among their teams. General Managers are expected to lead by example, promoting adherence to proper procedures and maintaining a culture of food safety.
